Grace Episcopal Church Nyack
Nestled in the center of the village of Nyack, Grace Episcopal Church has been a witness to the gospel for more than 140 years. Head Start of Rockland County is an agency, which provides low-income children, ages 0-5, and their families with a wealth of services. Children who attend Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities at 14 sites and programs in Rockland County. Head Start offers half day and full day educational programs, services for children with disabilities, including evaluations and inclusion classes, and pre-kindergarten classes. Head Start parents are welcomed and encouraged to be involved in the every aspect of the program through the parent committees, volunteering in the classroom, policy council and the board.

Rockland Family Shelter, Inc.
(RFS) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt grassroots organization serving victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Rockland County, New York. Since it’s inception in 1979, RFS has worked to end violence against women and their children through direct service (both intervention and prevention), education, survivor empowerment, advocacy, inter-agency collaboration, technical assistance, and leadership in coordinated community action. RFS provides both residential and non-residential services to abused women and their families, and targeted outreach and education programs for the larger Rockland County community. Responding to Rockland’s rich cultural diversity, RFS programs also address issues of sexism, racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, and other forms of oppression, and we work to insure that all of our programs, policies, and procedures address the varied needs of our clients, particularly those in immigrant and other previously underserved populations. As of January 2007 we expanded our scope of services to include a comprehensive crime victims assistance program to provide advocacy and support services to victims of other crimes in our community.
